You know those crazy arm balances and twisted postures with people flying all over the place while you sneak into lookasana? And then those long Sanksrit names you can’t pronounce to go with the postures you think you can never do? Arm balances are not just tongue and body twisters…. In fact, they are mechanically quite simple, if you just know little tangible tricks, and the traditions and stories behind them.In this workshop we will focus on these advanced postures and less-practiced variations, and interweave the mythical stories of heros, gods, and goddesses of the thousands year old practice and philosophy. Learn the reason behind the names, feel the spirit of the very gods themselves on the mat, and learn to sweat and fly through the triumphs and challenges of sages long ago, and you, today.
